According to , several countries have raised concerns about the midnight deadline on Friday, June 7, for final squad lists to be submitted ahead of this summer's tournament. But why are they perturbed about this?

The report states that with the last round of friendlies finishing just two hours before the final submission date, there will be very little time to tweak their squads if a player gets injured. England and Scotland are among those who are pushing for a delay as the Three Lions play Iceland at 7.45pm on June 7 and Scotland host Finland at the same time.

Sky state it is unlikely UEFA will move the deadline, however, as their regulations state that final squads must be registered seven days before the competition starts. In this case, hosts Germany face Scotland on June 14.
