'All I want from Ella' – Lionesses and Arsenal star Alessia Russo explains change she wants to see in Man Utd favourite and best friend Toone

Arsenal forward Alessia Russo explained that she wants to see one big change in bestfriend and Lionesses star Ella Toone.

    WHAT HAPPENED?

    Despite Russo now having made the move to rivals Arsenal while Toone continues with Manchester United, the two Lionesses stars have remained best friends and have also taken up a new podcast series with the BBC. In the first episode, Russo revealed that she would like Toone to change one thing about herself going forward.

  • WHAT RUSSO AND TOONE SAID

    Speaking on the Tooney-Russo podcast, Russo said to Toone: "One thing I would change about her? All I want from Ella.."

    Toone interrupted Russo: "Oh! You've never called me that before. You've never called me Ella."

    Russo continued: "All I would like from Tooney. I would just like you to be a tiny bit more open-minded when we go somewhere new".

    Toone humorously responded: "I'll take your feedback on board. I like what I like. That's why I'm still in Tyldesley".

    Russo and Toone have been a notable duo in women’s football, with a friendship that spans over 12 years on and off the pitch at club and country level. The Lionesses duo spent the majority of their professional careers with the Red Devils before Russo made the move to the Gunners last summer.
